Dr. Rho teaches with cross-cultural (domestic and international), multigenerational (children and adults), multilevel (individual and institutional), and multidimensional (virtual and in-person) methods. Although she has experience as a university professor, she also enjoys teaching in non-traditional educational spaces such as instructing yoga.
Filmed and produced by Intrinsic, watch as Dr. Rho brings soul to science. She grew up with immigrated parents from Haiti and found a passion for health after an experience that left her with the option to turn her pain into purpose.
In partnership with the NAACP, she shared a virtual yoga workshop. Dr. Rho was on the executive board during undergraduate studies at Penn State as the health chair, so she was ecstatic to share health tools with the National Youth and College section.
"Dr. Rho gave us a spiritual gift today. Her class was outstanding! GRACEFUL, divine, flowing like water. Her confidence is powerful. She merged the physical with the spiritual with a professional loving expression of caring tutelage - total focus with gentle accuracy. Her breathing and movement connection is perfect. Beautiful is she inside and out." - Basu Salimah

“Education is the most powerful weapon
which you can use to change the world.”
– Nelson Mandela
“The paradox of education is precisely this - that as one begins to become conscious one begins to examine the society in which he is being educated.” ― James Baldwin
These quotes highlight the potency and paradox of education both in and outside the classroom. Knowledge is more than power, it is agency - may we use it to be agents of change.
